Experimental Study of the Planting Uniformity of Sugarcane Single-Bud Billet Planters

Planting uniformity is a key evaluation index for planters. This paper investigated the effect of rotational speed, angle rake bar chain, and number billets on planting seed-metering device in laboratory. The experimental results showed that optimal can be achieved under chain 117°, 500, speed 70 rpm. Under this condition, quality Zq was 97.22% multiple Zm 0%, while miss Ze 2.78%. Based above parameters, single-bud planter improved with three chains per seed box. Field experiments different operation parameters (rotational forward speed) were conducted. Results indicated when 40 rpm 2.26 km/h, best 93.38%. research provide basis application billet planters field.
